The Splendor of the King is always so evident to me when I’m in the mountains.  Shouldn’t it be evident to me all the time?
Shouldn’t I be in awe of Him at every moment in my life?

Well, if you’re like me and need to be knocked in the head sometimes to see the glory of God….look at these pictures!  Sunrise on the Grand Tetons and beautiful Jackson Lake.

Ok, I know baby alpacas are cute, but look at this guy! 

I can’t wait til I get to cuddle with all that puppy hair!!  Looks like a live stuffed animal to me!  Only six more days and he is coming home.

We have decided to adopt and new puppy.  Chuck would say that I have decided, but he is excited too.   And news of all news, we are going to get a boy this time!  We have always had females for our house pets, so this will be an interesting experience for us. 

These are the two guys that we are looking at.  Of course, we might change our minds after we go to visit them on Friday.  I have requested from the breeder one of the smaller boys in the litter.  So we shall see…..

Just so darned cute – maybe I need to get two!!!  No, that would have Penny, our 11 year old Sheltie really messed up.  I think she is going to think we are  abusing her any way by bringing home a new puppy.

Looks like an aster of some kind. 

Growing in amongst the rocks.  Fell upon fertile soil and produced!

Pink lupines – and we thought things were bigger in Texas!  Nothing really outdoes the beauty of the Texas Bluebonnet, but these lupines in Colorado are beyond description!

Another one of those unbelieveabe covetable hanging baskets on Main Street Breckenridge.  I really wish we could do that here in Texas.  But alas, another good reason to go to Colorado in the summertime!

This house was much more magnificant in person, but pretty impressive photo nonetheless.

As much as I do love the wildflowers and native Texas plants we can grow here, there is something about the cool mountain air that just allows these flowers to explode in Colorado.  Oh to have hanging baskets like this all around my house!

And planters full of flowers that don’t look at all heat stressed!

And since he has BLUE on, a cute picture of Ross and Rachel along with their dogs…..Libby and Wally.

On our way back from horseback riding it was suggested to us to take Boreas Pass back to Breckenridge.  Instead of going on the highway, which will get you home sooner, we decided to go over this Pass to see some beautiful scenery.  And that we did.  The road was a dirt road but was very well maintained and our little rental car seemed to handle it fine.

A very cute little community on a small lake just south of Breckenridge and the ski slopes in the background.  Beautiful view!

We had a lovely time together in Breckenridge recently.  It was so good to get away from the heat and hang out with great family!

We stayed in this beautiful house that was just the right size for all 8 humans and 5 canines! 

We shopped, went whitewater rafting and horseback riding and did the Super Slide on Peak 8.  We played games at night – Scene it and Trivial Pursuit – some even played a little Mexican Train!   I must say, Lauren is well versed in all things ‘Friends’ and ‘Seinfeld’.
